Our Story
To understand the force behind Phenom Yachts, we first need to talk about the world-class team behind it. The Phenom brand boasts an executive team with over 150 combined years of marine experience. The team is spearheaded by marine industry visionary, Tommy Hancock (President / CEO).
From the very beginning, the name Phenom has been synonymous with the goal of the brand. The goal was to design the most family-friendly, hardcore fishing, luxurious and high performing semi-custom center console on the market. Each design challenge was taken as an opportunity to drive innovation through research, engineering and development. Years of market research and product design have been poured into the brand’s DNA to bring that vision to life.
The curves and angles of the shearline tell the story of the character and boldness that the Phenom brand embodies. Phenom captures a timeless statement of elegance with an edge to represent the performance and high-precision engineering designed and built into every single one.
We have reimagined the performance of a Stepped Hull with the design of the Phenom NexStep® Hull. It represents the culmination of years of combined experience from a world-class trio of engineers and naval architects. The work of Jeff Hudson, Jesse Rhodes and Johnny Sebastian has been the driving factor behind the hull design. The design draws inspiration from legendary boats of the past, racing-inspired manufacturing techniques and the use of modern CAD tools. Using advanced computational fluid dynamics (CFD), we’ve been able to thoroughly test design iterations at a rapid rate. The result is a new breed of performance stepped hulls that features the highest level of safety. All Phenom Yachts are NMMA Certified.
Stepping aboard a Phenom is a breathtaking experience and an expression of elegance. Harmony is achieved in every direction with attention to detail to the highest degree. Curated materials and textures make up the plush interior. An area of design focus is a wider beam width that provides larger more comfortable seating throughout the cockpit and superior on-deck amenities. Careful consideration was taken in designing elegant and spacious console interiors. Our interiors are designed to be exquisite areas for overnight stays and include customizable storage.
In addition to the family features, the Phenom brand certainly isn’t lacking in fishing amenities. Some of the key features throughout the line include spacious cockpits and an patent-pending automated pressurized livewell system. Designed-in outriggers, dredges and teaser reels are also included in the offerings.
Phenom has developed strategic partnerships in our quest to provide the most technologically advanced boat using cutting edge building processes and materials. We have leveraged our membership in the American Boatbuilders Association (ABA) to ensure a steady supply of the highest quality materials the industry has to offer. Strategic partners include Mercury, Garmin, Seakeeper, JL Audio, Gemlux and Lumitec.
